1990 YJ Build

This my 1990 Sahara build I have been working on for the past two weeks. I purchased the Jeep from a friend for 1100 bucks. I currently have about 4500 into it. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions or questions.

This is how I bought it. I took off the fender flares.

New windshield and frame. The previous one was rusted out (still have it if anyone wants it as well as the fender flares and a holley carb that came off of it. PM me)

Weber conversion (a word to the wise, don't use the Mr gasket regulator, use the Holley)

Stripped for paint

Sanded and primed

Freshly painted (same khaki metallic that was originally on it)

The beginning of the 8 hours that followed to install a Rough Country 4" lift

Lifted without wheels and tires

Lifted with wheels and tires (added a few misc. items since I took this pic)

I'll add an updated photo as soon as I get to it. Ran into a few snags but I'd say all in all it's been fun. I'll post more pics as I add to the Heep. :beercheers:[/img]

Thats a great looking Jeep you have there. I love the paint job. Did you use a two stage kit for that metallic paint?

What size tires are those? Was the install easy or complacated? Are you just going to run the lift or are you getting shackles also or a body lift?

It's a base coat, clear coat application. I went with the original Khaki Metallic. The tires are 305/70/R16 Toyo Open Country's. The install of the lift wasn't bad, took about eight hours on our backs. Right now I think I'm going to just stay with the suspension lift. The interior is actually in pretty good shape, no tears or rips in the seats or anything. The only thing I plan to do in there is Herculiner (next month).

Just an update, I did the nutter bypass 30 mins. ago. Definitely a noticeable difference.
