Cool Project you have. Figured I would say that I removed both track bars when I put my lift on and it handles great with no problems or adverse handling.

Not sure when I'm getting my sliders made up or what the cost of shipping would be but I have them stock boards that I will have no use for. Their not perfect but still in good shape.

The thing is, is that most the stuff that I do is mud because Im in Mass and there is a lot of mud pits but the only rock crawling stuff that I need articulation for is on the high tension lines and I try to stay clear of those because of laws. So for now I am just leaving the trac bars in, but who knows Im moving late july/august and maybe there will be more rocks where i go.

Good luck on the build! Oh, is there any copyright infringement to worry with?? Just curious...
There are a bunch of them out there and nobody has had any problem with that, but like I told my dad, are they really going to take a 18yr old kid to court becuase he is a movie fan, if anything its just advertizement for future generations to check the movie out!

Oh and as an afterthought....this is my first wrangler, I have previously owned three cherokees (still own my 99) which were all automatics and I went through deep mud and water and never had any problems.

Now when I did the clutch I realized that there are two holes where the slave cylinder lines go into the bellhousing. I am going to go wheeling this weekend and I am really worried about getting mud and water into my bellhousing. I really need to figure out what the deal is before I go. Can they be blocked up? I hear that I shouldnt shift when in mud or water. I need to reasearch this lol.

Will you be doing the paint job yourself? If you could do some documentation on it, it would be of great benefit. I've got a Blk '89 and will have to do the same. Have you located the paint codes yet?

Yes I will be painting it myself, along with my dad and a friend who has painted a comanchee with his dad (came out awsome). I would be very happy to take a bunch of pictures and do a write up on it. Im actually going to ask some other people who have painted them how they got the angles for the red stripes. We are planing on doing a VERY nice job on the paint, that means taking off EVERYTHING (door handles, soft top tracks, mirrors, hinges, ect.). I am planning on raptor lining the tub.

I havent got the color codes yet, simply because Im spending all my effort on finding the parts I need to paint it. However a trip to the dealership or my friends dad (the one with the comanchee) who is a mopar master mechanic and has worked at a dealership his whole life can get them for me.

I'm thinking it's 27055 Sand Beige Poly (Low Gloss) , but haven't been able to confirm it.

You may be right, but I haven't seen anything definative. I would like to know this, when did the '93 come out? Because I believe shooting for the film had been finished mid summer of '92. There's a shoot schedule somewhere online, I'll get the exact dates.

Here's the '93 sheet for comparison.

I was just there haha, So I guess the offical color is sand beige poly, cool now we have our color code.

I just found a website that has the paint:
http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1992-jeep-pg03.jpg

I was just curious as to pricing, I will be buying it at a local PPG store. Right now I am going to look up how much paint is usualy needed for a Jeep Wrangler.

Nothing to report today on the build, however I wanted to say that yesterday, the first day I had it on the road, the doors came off, today the top came off.

Im calling a guy who has the rims I need with 32's on them, the tires are junk but I would use them to wheel with before getting new tires for the rims.

Great news! Got some free stuff today!
Got these from a friend who just put a front tube bumper and a swing out rear bumper on his YJ. (has a 350, hydrolic stering, ford 9" rear end with aussie style locker, front true locker, 4" lift with 35's, custom tube doors, aftermarket seats, ect. It is a sweet YJ.)
Anyways I got the front because mine has that small crimp in it and my rear hitch bumper is SUPER cheesy and this one is a much heavier duty with some little tow points welded on. I also got his bumperets because Im sure Ill bend one by backing into something or something like that.

I also just bought these!!!
They are the rims I need in good condition, all with center caps, 4 have 32's on the but two are apparently junk. Then there is the spare with no tire on it. I will be picking them up problably friday or this weekend when I get back from Canada!
