1979 Cherokee Golden Eagle

Bought this about 2 months ago grown into a tree, and had to cut it out to free it, what a job! Anyways towed it home and started in everyday, eight hours aday cleaning and rebuilding.
The 360 is out, and thinking of a SBC conversion, engine, trans and transfer case! But the more I think about the more i want to keep it original. Hell I don't know! I think either way, will cost me about the same, on getting it back running! Would love some, input from someone who has done it!

Keep it original! That Jeep is much too nice to modify.
