Wire wheeled the drivers side this morning. It is far worse than the passengers side for sure. Got the rear quarter done......

Till next time, DAN

I didn't feel like working on the tub today, so I played with the front end. I got a good start on it!

I ordered the gasket set for the exhaust this morning. Bolted on the rear cross member on the frame and got it wire wheeled and primed. The rear support for the bed got welded in. That got primed and I got a little seam seal spread out.
good day!

Hope to get the exhaust started tomorrow. Maybe some top coat on the bottom of the tub!!!!!!

Wire wheeled the easy stuff on the back of the frame. Got that primed. Flipped up the tub and got the bottom painted! Had a little paint left so I painted the bottom of the front fenders as well......

Need to go pick up my manifold gaskets!

Worked on getting the carb cleaned up. I'll pick up a rebuild kit Friday, and hope to bench test the engine this week end. It's Mothers Day, and I don't know if I'll have time!

Got the shocks cleaned up as well, but didn't get any pictures of them....

Got the carb rebuilt. Picked up a new lower hose.....and hooked up the battery!!!! Turns over good. No fuel.....pulled the fuel pump, worked it by hand, filled it with gas......got fuel!!!! No fire.... checked the coil, checked out O.K. Pulled a plug, double checked the fire, none. Pulled the distributor cap, the points were not grounding.....sanded the points, put it all back together and it fired the very first time!!!! Runs smooth, smokes a little....over 100000, it's O.K.!!!!!

I know I'm jumping around a lot, but with as much to do as I have, OH Well!
Really need to get back on the tub. I saved the worse for last. I hope the easy stuff has me a little more practiced at the body work stuff. Just some days I have to do some thing that makes me feel like I got some thing done!!!

It stopped raining! I think we got about two inches in total. Didn't feel like pulling out all the tools, so I just cleaned the frame a little more and got that primed as well as the breast plate.

A small amount of skim coat and you will have a slick surface to paint . Do you think you have hit the 50% mark yet for new steel ?
