1976 cj5 rebuild from frame up

i got myself a cj5 that i plan on rebuilding and get up and running next spring.
should be fun. post comments and tips as i will need them

And turns out the guy that owned this before me allowed water to get into the oil of the t18 tranny. Great :/

I've gotten all the gears in the transmission all cleaned up. Starting to put it together when I break a snap ring. I go to the farm and auto parts stores an no one carries them that big. Great :/ looks like I will have to try again later.

tomorrow i will start to brush everything to get all the grease off. and i will weld on my spring perches to get my axles to a spring over for a total of 4.5-6" lift not sure what it will be yet.

Good start. It takes time. I just wish I had all day every day for a week to get mine in shape, but alas, I get a few hours a day if I'm lucky.

Ya I got all summer but I am flat broke so that's a challenge.
I'm 16 but I have all the mechanical skills to do all this so that's a plus.
