1964 CJ Ground Up Resto

This is the Jeep that I have known about since 1997. It has been parked in the back of a garage since one of the ears of the tranny snapped off in 1994 and it was parked there.

For an early Fathers day present my Wife and brother in law went to pick it up and surprise the HECK out of me. I can not thank her enough for bringing this home to me. Here are some pics of the restoration. This weekend, it will be getting a nice coat of PPG 9300 Black Paint.

I will be sure to attach more images of that as it moves along.

here are some more recent pictures.....

Here is some more recent stuff. The roll bar and side steps were actually the least rusted out parts of it. STRONG as anything too.

For the frame, it is rustoleum black. we sprayed it on so it would lay down nicer than a brush. The inside is bedliner. No Lift it is the tires that make it look taller.

What size are your tires.
Did you sand blast the frame or wire brush it.
And has anyone used a product called POR-15 on there frame.

SAWEET cant wait to see this thing done. Gotta love resto's. Any idea on paint and tire/wheel combo. I vote for Electric Lime Green. Drop a nasty V8 in it and you will love it.
