Hey guys, it has been awhile.....Thanks for the nice comments.

Been doing mostly school and work lately. Hopefully this summer I will get time to work on some of the vehicles.

Moved on up to 35"s!!! Got rid of the 33"s and the simulated beadlocks for 35" BFG Mud Terrains mounted on Eaton steel circulars.

I'm really happy with the gearing and the 35"s. Great on the road and didn't sacrifice much in low range. Should get better gas mileage now.

Removed the stock tailgate tire carrier cause I will be building a swinging tire carrier for the 35" spare. I think I will plan to convert my tailgate to swing down, instead to the side. Get rid of those stock aluminum hinges in the process.

So whatcha think?

Wow. That's all I can say. What a fantastic build. Love the way you pay very close to details. I wish my YJ was as nice as both of your jeeps. I guess hard work pays off. I am looking to upgrade the rear in my YJ 2.5L from my stock dana 35. Would moving to a 8.8 be too much of a leap and if I did this move, what gears would you recommend for my 4cyl? I am running a 4" RC lift and 32" tires and getting 15mpg on 4.10's. Thanks Tony

Thanks. Yep, work hard and stuff gets done lol.

Moving up to an 8.8 would be a decent move for you. Not sure what your future plans are for tires and upgrades.... I ran that D35 in my TJ with 33's and wheeled it, and it never broke. I would think it would be hard for you to break that D35 in your YJ with the 4 cyl and 32" tires. You would have to beat on it really hard.

It would be pretty much the same as I did, just putting leaf spring perches in instead of coil buckets and control arm brackets. There is alot of YJs out there with 8.8's in the rear. You should be able to find a nice YJ 8.8 swap writeup someone did in the YJ forum.

As for gearing recommendation, I'm not to experienced in running 4cyl to suggest gearing, but I would leave it the same for now if you are planning bigger tires in the future. Regearing twice would be expensive and no sense doing it twice if you can do it once.

Well its been a while since looking at your write up and I was so amazed that I read all 33 pages over again. And I am impressed more so the second time I read it. I decided I'm gonna leave the rear the way it is because I'm not as mechanically inclinde as you. I think that I'm gonna get bushwaker flares for mine and a cb but since I'm still a newbie, was it hard for you to go wheelin your first time? I wanna go so bad but I'm gettin kinda nervous that I'm gonna ruin my heep cuz its so clean for a '95. BTW what school are you going to? Thanks

Well, I can't say it was hard for me to wheel the first time, since I had kinda grown up in the sport. Dad had always had a jeep or trucks growing up, and we always took them down in the creek and had fun. However, when I did buy my jeep, and take it out the first time, I was scared to break anything, because it was my money.

Just take your time, and be aware of what your capabilities are, the first couple times out. Don't let your buddies talk you into anything you are in question about. Once you start modifiying your jeep more and get some wheeling experiences under your belt, you can then start trying harder obstacles. Just enjoy your time out on the trails, you don't have to wheel the hardest obstacles to have a good time.

Thanks bud. Yea I don't think I'm gonna wheel it everyday haha or even a lot for that matter. My mom especially gives me the guilt factor that this is my Jeep and that its your only "transportation" and says if it breaks you ride your bike. But I'll defenately not push it the first few times out. Thanks.
