I was woke up by a neighbor at 2am Sunday morning who told me it was on fire. The only good thing out of the deal is that I was going to move it into the garage a couple days earlier to work on it but got busy and never did it. I would of lost a hell of a lot more than just a jeep. The fire investagator came back yesterday to look at it again and said it was an electrical fire that started in the dash. He's going to try and stop by my station when I'm on duty tomorrow and tell me more. I know that the front axle, both front wheels, RF tire and front bumper are still good, still debating on the tiny spot on the LF tire. Hoping the rear wheels, 14b, transmission and the dana 300 are still good cause I'll probably put it all under my LJ.
Man ... Speechless ... Just saw your jeep ... Read your whole thread from the start ... I need a beer ....;$&!?()'mm..... Man that sucked .. Only one thing yo do ... Get a new xj ... Take what you learned and make the next one way sicker, and you can start a fresh build, and each build is always better than the last
sorry for your loss.... My sincerest condolences.
Thats really a sad end for any Jeep, especially yours.
Hope something becomes of the salvaged parts.
Keep us posted as to what the next build is going to be.... (at least I'M hoping there will be another build!)
