05 Green TJ

I have been thinking about starting a build thread and I figured what better day to do it than the day UPS dropped off my new lift!

First off, I got my TJ my senior year of high school in November of 06. She is my first and only vehicle i have ever owned. I should mention now that my jeep is my daily driver and will be fore several years to come as i finish up college. It will see its fair share of the dirt on weekends.
As soon as i got her i started doin the noob mods (before i found JF). Unfortuanately my computer crashed with all my old pics of when i got it and through out some of the mods. Here is a couple pics of her as she sits today.

Mods consisted of:
Hardtop
Smittybuilt fenders flares (gone)
Front tube bumper
Tube side steps (gone)
KC 150Watt fogs.
2 inch BB (gone)
3 inch BL (gone)
33x12.50x15 Mastercraft Mud Terrains.
Interior and Sound system upgrades.

So some good some bad. Overall I am happy with most but I am now going in a new direction so here is my new list of mods to come. (i am a 20 year old broke college student so it will be over a good period of time)

1.RC 4 inch X Series (Done)
2. LOD Rear Bumper/ Tire Carrier (Done)
3. Front Tube Fenders. Probably TNT Customs
4. Rocker Panels with step. (Done)

There will plenty of other smaller mods during the build but those are pretty much my bigger goals for now.
Other smaller mods include:

Cowl Induction DIY air intake
Rear seat sub box
SYE/CV Driveshaft
Other mods i will add later too....

Well on with the first stage. My RC 4 inch X Series showed up today and all i can say is wow. Let me also mention that RC is a great company to deal with and as said many times before their customer service is top notch. I dealt with Jeffrey and he did a great job taking care of me.
Well I will be installing the lift myself with the help of a friend of mine. We are no big time mechanics but we have installed my 3 inch body lift, and his 6 inch suspension lift for his F-250 Turbo Diesel by ourselves in his garage. That being said, I am sure there will be times when i jump on here looking for help during the process. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps

The kit looks awesome. And those new X flex control arms are soo beefy. I cant wait to get it on this weekend.

Sweet!!!!! I didnt know RC came out with that lift yet. Are you taking off the 3" BL when you put this on? 7" and 33's would be nuts lol

I cant wait to see that Jeep after the lift. Especially some flex shots!

Yea the new control arms for the lift came out in early February if im not mistaken. And yea i definitely plan on removing the 3 inch body lift. your right 7 inches would be a lil much for 33s lol i also plan on removing my 2 inch BB pucks as well.

Alright so i have been searching and learning as much as I can about the lift and the install. I am stuck on one thing though. Should I install this dropped pitman arm they gave? I will not being doing any other steering upgrades (besides the SS). What do you guys think? and who has run this lift with or with out one?

Im running the basic 4" RC kit and i bought an adj front track bar and HD frame mount, i used the pitman arm and have had no problems. I have been told that if you are not running a new track bar in the front to just use the stock pitman arm.
