04 TJ build up from stock to......

This is my first Jeep. It's a 4 banger which is one thing I'd like to change. I should have just bought a 6 but now a swap out sounds fun.

Then...
(259x194)
(this isn't actually my Jeep. The picture of it on the lot at the dealership disappeared mysteriously, but this is pretty close.)

And now...

"Wha's a Jeep?" Popeye asks Professor Brainstine.

Some beefy new (to me) tires. BF Goodrich A/T 31x10.5r15. $350 used from a nice kid in NH.

Also the first time I ever took the top off (I bought it in December). Hanging out with my cousin and uncle and their Jeeps.

Got a few things done this week.

New Rampage front recovery bumper with stinger and light receptacles.

Threw some lights on the windshield. Still need to wire them.

Added black grille inserts. Need to touch up the heads of the socket screws. These look nice but make it a little bit of a PITA to open the hood.

Hanging out with the Jeep that could be. That's Pat. He's also got a build thread. http://www.jeepforum.com /forum/f22/2003x-tj-build-944608/

Finally found time to wire my windshield lights up.

Also got a PA system hooked up to the CB. The PA speaker is under the hood on the drivers side.

The PA is fun. I was giving my own duck tours through the North End Sunday.

Rewired my CB and PA setup through the fuse box on my lunch break at work. WAY WAY better. I hate wires hanging out through my cigarette lighter and I didn't want to wire it straight to the battery because I wanted it to run on auxiliary power. This was perfect for what I wanted.

Sub woofer is in the mail.

I know it's small but I wanted it to slide under the back seat. I don't need a booming sound that costs me what little trunk space Jeeps afford.

Also got some grab handles in the mail. Not sure if I'm gonna like them but I'll find out when they show up. Autoshepard.com had them on backorder for a little over a month and they should be showing up today. They tossed me a free t-shirt since it took so long. Eh, ok i guess.
