It's a Jeep, it's not supposed to work right all the time.

boss just called. too cold to lay down coating on the roof so im just gonna do some quick inspections, then it's back to the shop to wire wheel the old body welds on the clayton lift and re-weld. (the PO did a decent spot job, but we're gonna make it solid today) after that i think we're gonna raise the gas tank. or at least get a game plan together for it.

Nice pics of the camping trip. How do you like the Kumho ATs? How do they do in the slick stuff?

long f-ing day. got to the shop at 10am. ground down all the way around the claytons so my buddy could redo the welds. (po's welds weren't "bad" per se, just a little weak), after the grinding came the mounting of the maglite, and then after that came the dreaded gas tank lift. pics are below, feel free to ask any questions you may have. i'll have pics of the new body welds tomorrow since i was too tired to crawl underneath and take pics. hope you enjoy...

before...

PO's welds after i brushed em...

gas tank suspended instead of removed...

new skid bracket welds...

and voila! no more saggy panties!

Looks good. I like what you are doing with it so far. I looked at those wild country tires when I was looking. I ended up going with Dunlop M/T Maxx Traction. They do awesome. But your jeep is looking sweet.

Are the bulbs the bluish color? I might be interested. My white/yellow fog lamps and blue driving lights are making me crazy. are they the 9145 or 9005? What brand? How much shipped to 50707?

By the way, I love the Maglite clips. I used to that with the Streamlight chargers in cop cars. Anyhow, I like the name Nip/Tuck for the Jeep.
