so my old chef, who's been working at the ritz carlton in st thomas, usvi for the past year called yesterday. and offered me a sous chef position. in st thomas. for 35k and full benefits and the opp to go to any ritz in the world after 6 months. the fiance and i are seriously considering it, but what do i do with the jeep? crime down there's pretty bad, and they dont particularly like white people. i figured to leave it here at the rents until i come back. or maybe i will take it with. i almost moved down there years ago and was looking at an old cj to buy as a beach jeep.

anyhow, that's what's going on now. planning a wedding, and just got offered a management job in a world class kitchen. i may put the build on hold until things are settled. but let's get real, id rather leave her here at 6" with 33's than the way she is now.

my wheel spacers are en route, as is a hi-lift i got used for $30. once the spacers are here i can seriously go try on shoes

Slap a 1 in front of that 35k then I'd leave my jeep. That's just IMO. I'm partial to the south where white people are liked

Can I ask a question with out being laughed at? Maybe? Okay difference between the silver wheel spacers and the spidertrax wheel spacers.... other then the color? Quality? Construction?

i run the rough country silver ones pictured above. Zero issues dont believe the hype about sypdertrax. If you have a problem with them then send them back but dont judge before you put them on biased opinion. Alot of people have the conclusion that if there are 2 products available and one is more expensive then that one must be the best. Its a wheel spacer if you have problem rough country will return your money. I see no need in paying $40 more for a "colored" pair of wheel spacers. Just make sure you use lock tight and tourqe them correctly and recheck torque after 500 miles.

The difference is the ridge in the middle of the spacer. With your stock wheels, that ridge will make sure your wheels are centered.

those spacers are fine. your wheels will be centered just the same because the spacers are tapered just like the wheels.....

takin the job. movin to st. thomas until the wedding, when my fiance/wife will move down there too. going to leave the jeep here. might ship her down there, it's $2000 to ship her, but im worried about parts, etc....so the build has been put on hold for now. once i get down there and start puttin money away, ill start buyin parts and havin em shipped here to wait and i'll prob get everything done on her when i come back for the wedding in june and then take the lady, jeep, and cat back with me.

got the wheel spacers on today. now i can turn my wheel all the way and not rub. also checked out the rear shock that was making noise and found the bushing all eaten up. so new shocks and coils will be coming sooner now that theyre needed. here's the stance now too. it's so much nicer to not have the tires tucked underneath. actually looks a little legit now. new meats will help alot too once i get the flow...

went and picked up a K&N fipk intake for $100 from craigslist today. also went to the junkyard to pick up a set of motors for my zj res. swap. there was a whole jeep section, but only 1 wj. gonna get the res and the new intake installed tomorrow. booyah!

also, after installing the wheel spacers, i get random death wobble when im going between 60 and 70mph. if i power through it, it goes away, and sometimes doesnt happen at all. going to get an alignment tomorrow once the shop opens. any ideas? it's obviously the wheel spacers i put on, but why would they make me wobble?
