So i was a lurker for a long time then finally became a member myself. After getting so much great info & ideas from everyone's rigs i decided to start my own build thread & get even more feedback. Although this will b a sorta backwards build just 4 now, due to that fact i had to wait till i was able to post pics so most of all this is already done but ofcors The List is far from finished! all feedback is good & wanted likes/dislikes, advise, ideas ect.

so here is what i started with a 2000 Sahara Wrangler all stock graciously handed down to me from my dad!

there were lots of little things i wanted to started with while i waited for the boxes to start arriving such as the faded sound bar the bird sh!t on the roll bars that iv been 2 lazy about cleaning, faded gas cover & license bracket.






started with gas & license prep'd & painted tan

Also time to change the fugly Polk grills, as u might start to tell i want everything Tan or Black

Good looking Jeep. Its your Jeep, but my suggestion for the next mod would be to get some sliders and get rid of the pontoons on the sides of the Jeep. I never understood why jeep did that.

yea rockers arnt first on the list but they are second, first is a tire carrier/bumper, then rockers, then tubefenders up front.

Great buildup dude. I have the same speakers on my sound. I think you inspired me to paint mine flat black. Looks really good.

Thanks, & id say check out DupliColors Vinyl & Fabric spray paint. Its much better for plastic than Krylon Fusion, it costs more @ 6.99 but its way better. its has some chemical reaction & mixies into the plastic's top layer, so if done right it wont chip, lots of VERY light coats! I first used the stuff on my xbox 360 controller painted it tan 2 match my MARPAT 360, after use from my hands, tossing it around/on top of the 360 it didnt scratch or chip or start to get sticky from my hand oils effecting the paint. only suck side is the stuff only comes in a few colors http://www.duplicolor.com/products/vinyl.html & iv only been able 2 find it @ auto stores.

this is the same stuff i used on the top of the sound bar after it was cleaned & its like new any spray paint would have gunked it up & made it stiff & ugly this stuff doesnt. You can rub the top & no paint comes of & if u flex the material the paint doesnt chip!

Ok i got a few pics of win i got home from getting the wheels & tires mounted



then I immediately took the doors (i had a thing that i wouldnt go doorless without a lift & tires...idk)



will b taking care of that ugly front end!

Looking good man. Sahara's are the best looking Wranglers IMO. You don't see very many that color though. Pretty cool man.
