Comments: I bought this mirror as a replacement for my 02 WJ
because the auto-dim liquid in my side view driver settled leaving a dark lower half [two-thirds, actually] and a bright upper third.
The result was a horizontal line through the mirror above which, nothing could be seen.
This mirror is inexpensive and looks identical to the original, power works fine, installation is easy and they supply a new foam gasket. However, the mechanism which holds the glass is unstable.

***This mirror glass shakes at 45+ mph. Bouncing headlights across 3 lanes... and no, it wasn't the subwoofers [this time].
I sent the first one back and tried another ... same thing.

The lady at customer service in Virginia was nice, but if you're calling customer service for a side view mirror, you're either an autobody guy or a sucker. I was the latter.

So, take your $50 bucks to a junkyard, and pick up somebody else's mirror, or shell out the $200++ for an OEM. but save yourself some frustration and stay away from the good looking, but SHAKY KOOL-VUE side mirror.
