Product Information

MSRP: $150.00
Average Price: $105.88
Manufacturer: JKS
Recommended?
Yes: 108 / No: 1

The B1 Body Lift by JKS offers an economical solution to tire clearance problems, without affecting center of gravity, spring rate or steering geometry like suspension modifications. Unlike universal designs commonly used by our competitors, JKS B1 Body Lifts are specifically designed to work in conjunction with the OE body mounts.
Our B1 Body Lifts actually provide 1.25" of additional tire clearance, as opposed to the standard 1" provided by other manufacturers. The Jeep® specialists at JKS have found this to provide the ideal amount of tire clearance without exceeding the safe working parameters for severe off-road use. Furthermore, no modifications are required to the fuel tank, air conditioning, radiator, or brakes, unlike taller body and suspension lifts.
Manufactured from premium Dura-Thane™ poly material with a hardness of 94 durometer, JKS B1 Body Lifts are designed to easily exceed the demands of four wheeling.

Pros: East install

Comments: Very east install. Can be done in a few hours. Recommend installing MML because it negates the need to relocated the radiator and both jobs can be done over a weekend.

Pros: quick and easy
Cons: none

Comments: Great quality and instructions from JKS. The main difference I chose this kit is the front grille supports are replaced with longer ones with this kit, others I looked at used spacers which required drilling a hole the frame.

Pros: Raising your ride! Helps with aftermarket skids, increased tire clearance. No squeaks (yet).
Cons: A little more body roll than stock.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Installation was a breeze. The radiator supports were a little bit of a pain. I took out the headlights to install them, as recommended by Rokmen on their Youtube video. All the pieces fit perfectly, and seemed like they were of good quality. I only really bought this so I could raise my Savvy gas tank skid plate a little higher, but have been impressed overall. Oh yeah, if I do get a tummy tuck, this would be one less thing that needs to be done! Just Empty Every Pocket... :-)

Price: $125.00
Pros: Relatively easy install.
Cons: Installation instructions didn't warn about the need to disconnect the fuel bezel from the fuel filler tube to preclude the possibility of damaging it during installation of the lift.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Instructions were pretty good. Install was pretty easy. Luckily, I watched the JKS body lift installation video from Rockmen on Youtube.com, which recommends disconnecting the fuel bezel from the fuel filler tube to preclude damaging them during installation of the body lift. The JKS instructions that came with the body lift didn't include that warning.

Price: $121.99
Pros: Easy install, great quality
Cons: Instructions need improvement, lacks fuel filler tube extension
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I highly recommend watching the YouTube videos by Rokmen that go over the install for this lift and the corresponding motor mount lift. For my '98 TJ, the gas tank filler tube is not long enough to reach the filler neck and would have cracked the plastic had I not removed the four screws behind the gas cap and the instructions for the body lift did not address this. Also, the instructions direct you to torque down the replacement bolts before installing the extended bumpers under the grill (making it impossible to get them positioned). Once I had these oversights worked out, the mild body lift was exactly what I wanted. If you're considering this kit, get the motor mount kit, too. You don't have to modify the fan shroud at all and there's no transfer case dropping or adjustments, so it becomes a short, one-evening project.

Price: $149.50
Pros: Decently easy to install. Quality pucks. Fixed my drive-line vibrations from 2" BB.
Cons: Some problems with the install.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Easy install in conjunction with the motor mount lift kit.

Problems I had was the gas tank filler tube. It was far from log enough but was corrected with a quick adjustment of the hose. The radiator bump stops went in easier for me than most people. Some WD-40 on the tips and a 2' pry bar on the sway bar and they popped right in. My shifter hit the console after the lift as well. But I corrected this by moving the console back about an inch. Also the vent tube for the rear end ended up getting worn into from being pulled tight from the lift. But 3" fuel line 2 barbs and 4 hose clamps and all is well again.

My biggest complaint is that the instructions say that with the MML that the t-case linkage drop bracket wouldn't have to be used but after the install my linkage was all bound up and when i drove down the road it made a popping sound. So installed the drop bracket and fixed it all. Your t-case shifter will also have to be adjusted before it will work correctly.

All in all awesome product as usual from JKS. Just wish they had told me about the problems I would face and possible solutions prior to the install.

I tried calling their tech support but could never get them on the phone and they never returned my voice mails.
