The Road Venture MT 834 is an Off-Road Maximum Traction category light truck tire designed to provide "take you anywhere" off-road traction with "bring you home again" highway manners. The Road Venture MT 834 was developed to meet the needs of pickup truck and sport utility vehicle drivers, as well as, off-road racers who desire maximum off-road traction.

The Road Venture MT 834 features a cut, tear and abrasion resistant tread compound molded into a symmetric tread pattern comprised of large center tread blocks and alternating width shoulder lugs that provide the biting edges necessary to dig down, as well as, claw at the sides of ruts for added pulling power. On the inside, the Road Venture MT 834 combines twin steel belts reinforced by nylon belt edge strips to enhance high speed stability and durability. Additionally, the polyester cord sidewall plies are reinforced with nylon to further promote durability.

Price: $400.00
Pros: Thick tread, great bite, clean out well, easy to balance, sing like an opera star
Cons: Minimal "side biters" and relatively thin sidewall, loud according to female passengers, not made anymore
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Got these tires for a real deal off of a nice guy that put them on his Scout II to get the truck the 100 mi. home after purchase. He discovered major rust and decided to sell these to cover costs saying "by the time I get to using these, they will be junk from dry-rot...best to see them sold to someone who can make good use of them"

At 33x12.50x15, they work excellent in mud, loose gravel, and even rocks if aired down to about 15-18 PSI. On the road, they sing beautifully, track with ease, and have good grip even in rainy weather with wet roads. If you can find a set of these with closer to full tread, don't hesitate to pick them up.

Pros: Wear good, go good, clean good.
Cons: road noise

Comments: I love these tires. Wide lug patterns and sidewall lugs provide excellent traction. But there is some road noise.

Pros: Great treadwear 35-40K! Good in mud when new!
Cons: No sidewall tread. centerlugs don't clear out, useless off road with tread less than 50% worn
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Good for a daily driver/weekend warrior. Offroad performance suffers when the tread is half gone.

Pros: Great construction, great price
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I only have about 1,000 miles on these (33 x 12.50 x 15) so far, but I am extremely happy with them. They perform well in the mud and on the rocks, and are plenty decent on-road as well.

Kumho Road Venture MT 834
Price: $114.00
Pros: Great Value, Long-Life, Aggressive Tread, Great Off-Road Capabilities
Cons: Road Noise (but common with any Mud Tire)
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I've had these for appx. 6,000 miles and they still look as good as the day I boght them. They are great off-road and I haven't had any problems with their side-wall strength. I would definitely recommend this tire and plan on sticking with Kumho's in the future.
