I've been a big fan of the MTR old style and new and it's what I've had on my last 3 rigs (2 YJ's and an XJ), all 35" tires. I wanted to give (the old style) General Grabbers a shot because I liked their look and heard they were true to size and I noticed MTR's ran a little small. Doing some homework I found out they were discontinuing the old style and had come out with the X3. A more aggressive tread that worked better in snow in mud is what I read. The old style was still an option but I decided to go with the X3. Got them at a great price with an almost no questions ask warranty so on my first run on 2 black diamond trails I didn't hold back on the rocks. These things bit great. Aired down to 12lbs and I was easily climbing over stuff that my MTR's would slip on, unless I had a good approach angle. It felt like the compound on these is softer or it could have been the tread design but I was really happy with these tires. On the highway they're a little vroom but who cares. Will update review after I put some miles on these to see about longetivity.
