Optima Red Top
Price: $100.00
Pros: Great Equipment -- Mines almost a decade old. With an inverter I run everything you'd run in a garage -- AC power tools, etc -- off this old Optima
Cons: You've got me there
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I put this Optima Red Top in my 94 Wrangler in '99. I am still using the same Red Top today, drawing it on regularly and repeatedly for everything from inverter-run AC power tools, polishers, to AC vacuum cleaners.

A few weeks ago, I was in a rush to make an evening appointment and left the headlights on in my Jeep for a good 3 hours. Came back and the Jeep started up without the slightest hesitation. Even had people hanging around looking to offering me a jump when I finally came back and claimed the Jeep. They were surprised.

Anyway, don't waste time buying other batteries. Optima could charge $200 for the Red Top and it'd still be well worth it. I'll probably spring for a Yellow Top in '09.
