Loud. Clean. Long.
Alpine Type-R subwoofers play loud, clean, and long. The Type-R’s are designed from HAMR Engineering, Alpine's exclusive subwoofer solution for cooler operation, longer life, and tight, accurate bass. The main philosophy behind HAMR Engineering is to ensure the ultimate sound quality and performance through the use of highly advanced materials and patented design technologies such as magnetic, structural finite element analysis, and a 3rd generation CRC motor structure. The Type-R subwoofer features an ultra long linear excursion for dynamic, realistic sound. Exclusive cooling technologies contribute to huge power handling capabilities. You can depend on the Type-R to compliment your system with deep, accurate bass.

Pros: Bumps
Cons: None...yet
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This sub does everything I need it to do and so much more. I find myself having to turn my bass down a lot because it is so loud. I love my Type R's!

Pros: great sound
Cons: can not handle some lows because of the size
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have the 10" version of these speakers, the one issue i have with these is i wish that i got the 12's. These are awesome speakers though, and for the size are more easily fit.

Price: $220.00
Pros: Great sub with lots of punch
Cons: Need a powerful amp to enjoy its full potential
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Value for money and delivers the bass. Well suited for both ported and sealed box. Running mine on an Alpine V12 MRV 1505 bridged (twin subs) and its loud when cranked up to the point of getting a headache.

Price: $1.00
Pros: Nice clean bass
Cons: Price i guess but you get what you pay for
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have a ten inch type s in a closed truck box amped to roughly a thousand watts and this sub pounds for a ten. Granted a wrangler is a relatively small space but it definately turns some heads. I traded my two twelve inch type e alpines for this sub in the box and an alpine350 watt amp but did not fuel ten with enough power. Great noise for the cost

Price: $100.00
Pros: Thing takes bass real nice and doesn't fart out like others at high volume
Cons: can't think of any
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Alpine is IMO the best there is in car audio. I've tried plenty and always found theirs to be the best. This speaker takes the bass and really pounds with all music. Best is it doesn't fart out at high volume like a lot of others. Beats the crap out of rockford fosgate.
