You can take it with you. Just because you've got a factory radio in your car, doesn't mean you have to leave your iPod (and the hours and hours of music it contains) at home. Just install USA SPEC's iPod interface — it not only allows you to listen to all your favorite tunes through your car's speakers, it even lets you control song and playlist selections right from your radio.

Just mount the compact interface box in a hidden location in your vehicle, and connect the adapter cable to the CD changer input on your compatible Chrysler factory radio. Plug your iPod into the interface — you can control volume, source, song selection, and up to five different play lists right from the radio. And the interface charges your iPod while it's connected.

Pros: Hybrid mode lets you play playlists, or use the iPod interface to find songs.
Cons: Well, playlist mode (with RBK) is restrictive and clumsy...

Comments: Installed fairly easily (didn't even take the panels off, just slipped my hand in behind from the glove compartment). Works well.

Price: $125.00
Pros: - Compatible with the Factory Stereo - Charges the IPOD - Plays Playlists or use IPOD controls - sound quality is great (unlike FM modulator)
Cons: - Does not display tracks on Factory Stereo - Can't use factory controls to play tracks by albums - If you have a CD changer, you can't use this device in conjunction with the CD changer
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Crutchfield included instructions that made it very easy to install. It plugs into the CD Changer port on the back of the stereo. The sound quality is much better than the FM modulator that I started with. I was easily able to store the IPOD in the glove box since there is a whole to pass wiring through behind the glove box.

USA SPEC iPod® Interface
Price: $39.99

Comments: A firmware update actually makes the device work better than it's advertised. Also lets you select an auxilary input with your factory radio. So if you have satelite radio, GPS device or whatever, you can use direct input rather than unreliable FM Modulation. I highly recomend this product, it lets you have all the music you want, without advertising to theives with an expensive aftermarket radio.
