OOBE:

I love the features of this unit. It has almost everything you might want in a head unit. The problem I have is the operating system --- it STINKS! You have to scroll and click though numerous menus just to perform a basic function like adjusting the bass. Of course, doing this while driving your manual-transmission Jeep is next to impossible (or at least, impossibly unsafe!). I was dismayed to discover that even the audiophile version of this head unit (the lesser expensive one, not the $1k version) still uses the same OS. So even if you wanted fewer features and better audio quality, you are still saddled with this horrific OS. The display is bad, too. The graphic equalizer lags (especially when the processor is working, like when using Bluetooth) - and there is no "good" screen that gives you the info you need without clutter or useless information.

Okay, that's the bad. The good is the unit sounds AWESOME. And there's no better experience than having your phone wirelessly connect via BT when you walk into your car and the music just starts up. I love the GPS integration into my audio system - and the hands free calling. It really sounds great - with the top down or up! I'm amazed that it works so well. So it's a keeper. It's the best of what's available on the market right now (if you need a CD player integrated). I probably could have foregone the CD player, but I'm old school... So felt I really needed to keep this function. Good thing they still don't offer cassette players!!
