Price: $200.00 Pros: its better than the one i had in there Cons: i dont know how to set my preset radio stations Recommended? Yes
Comments: its actually the x493, but thats not an option on here. i like it for the usb hook up, and the 200 watts. it looks good. it is easy to use except for radio presets. it has alot of options as far as adjustability.

Price: $209.00 Pros: RBDS, Satellite, HD Radio Cons: There are none, but my model was actually not listed, mine is a KDC-x692, not 492. Recommended? Yes
Comments: Rockin stereo with HD, satellite, bluetooth(which will pick up your cell phone and mute the volume, display the caller's number and let you use the stereo mic when a call comes in), RDS, also has a usb port to connect an MP3 player. Oh yeah, and it ROCKS! unfortunately it was stolen

Price: $159.99 Pros: charges ipod, (with up to date software) Cons: the one line ipod scrolling is difficult to scroll music Recommended? Yes
Comments: Great Deck, has a control ipod feature directly on the deck, so my ipod never leaves my glove box. great sound and very smart soft ware. well worth the money!

Price: $130.00 Pros: Comes with a remote, ipod direct connection, looks awesome Cons: wiring harness was a pain but so are all head units i guess. Recommended? Yes
Comments: Great head unit for the money. Everyone of my friends said go with alpine but i said no and went with the best looking and one that would provide the features i wanted. ipod control is good but sometimes the search function gets messed up. just had to unplug ipod cable and plug back in. not har just a little annoying. awesome deck though. loud enough

Price: $179.00 Pros: 22 RMS sounds great with no amp, a great product if you don't want to quite go all thw way with the stereo Cons: none yet Recommended? Yes
Comments: Installation was not difficult (considering I was a n00b). Sounds great with lots of power. I did a lot of research trying to decide which would be the best head unit with the most bang for my buck, and my Kenwood absolutely has it. I had a pioneer before this, and it lasted FOREVER. It is actually still pulling its weight in my brother's jeep, and it was tough for me to go with Kenwood. However, I think I made the right choice. Plenty of expandability options (amp outputs, etc) and the customizability is great. THe EQ is unbeatable. Overall, great product.

Kenwood KDC-X492
Price: $169.00 Pros: Nice looking, high power, great sound, ease of use (once you get some practice time learning all the features this unit offers) Cons: Light does not get very dim when it is in the dim mode. Not the end of the world but it's all I could think of. Recommended? Yes
Comments: I really like thid unit. Excellent quality for the price. Sounds great, easy to use (once you get the hang of all the features and controls), lots of power, great reception, Ipod compatible, looks like it belongs in the Jeep's dash and just all around a great unit. Highly recomend!!

Kenwood KDC-X492
Price: $120.00 Recommended? Yes
Comments: This is a great head unit. No problems except the 5-way control knob can be cumbersome at times, but it is relatively easy to use once you get the hang of it.
