This deck is a competition alpine cd player compatible with windows media, sirius satellite, mp3, HD radio, and has connectors specifically for ipod. its ideal for anyone looking for a simple good sounding deck, its not flashy but it looks good and it gets the job done. it has a built in bass engine amplifier for smaller speakers to put out more bass which does the job quite well actually, it has a clean look that suitsw a jeep very well. at night the haunting green and blue glow it emitts is a perfect addition to the interior and dash of your jeep. with removeable falldown faceplate its perfect for a jeep owner with no doors or roof, or for security and peace of mind. i find my Alpine to be the best stereo headunit ive owned, and for the price the quality is unbeatable.

/////Alpine CDA-9856 head unit
Price: $200.00
Pros: great bass engine, great clarity, 3 preouts, sat and hd radio ready, bluetooth
Cons: didnt come with the remote but is available
Recommended? Yes

Comments: The bass engine controls work very well with my alpine amp. Like stated before it can push your speakers too far. The ipod interface is a little tricky at first but it doesnt take long to figure it out. The menu system can be confusing at first too, but isnt bad once you know it.

/////Alpine CDA-9856 head unit
Price: $300.00
Pros: Very easy instalation and interactive with ipod
Cons: blew out my stock speakers
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I love this thing a lot, the only thing that I had a problem with is that it allowed me to make my speakers go too loud which is easy to do when you have no top or doors and are driving on the highway. No more subwoofer or rear passenger speaker on my tj. The others speakers are having issues as well. upgrade your speakers when getting this head unit. apparantly fairly water proof as well!
