Price: $50.00
Pros: Small, mic is very sensitive
Cons: Could use a bit better internal speaker
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This is a nice compact CB that has a squelch and RF gain control. The mic has shown itself to be quite sensitive and the internal speaker is okay.

Pros: Great little, inexpensive CB Radio
Cons: Does not work at all if Mic is disconnected.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This is truly a great little CB radio. I also have a Radio Shack handheld and a Midland 75 handheld with vehicle adapter, and this transceiver blows them both away for audio quality and range (even when using the Midland with an external K40 antenna). I chose this model because it is easy to tune-up for better power output and modulation, but it works so well out-of-the-box that I haven't bothered with the tuning.

The small size and light weight allowed me to mount it up on the JK's plastic windshield header, just above the mirror, which is the best place for good audio without adding an external speaker.

Price: $99.00
Pros: small size
Cons: it's a CB
Recommended? No

Comments: Good little unit not really any complaints except it's a CB with no range in the bush.
I use it as a back up for my VHF and when I'm out wheeling with folks that don't have VHF.
It's size is a bonus as it will fit just about anywhere.

Pros: RF Gain Strong audio modulator (7w) Excellent performance Stays on the channel when shut down P. A. speaker output
Cons: Haven't found one yet
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I've bought 3 of these great radios to install in my Jeeps over the last 15 years. I spoke with a local farmer who runs a total of 22 rigs and has them in all of them. They say they would never consider another radio.

Turning down RF gain works great when you are caravanning, since you may over-modulate at times, causing distortion or excessive clipping.

This radio fits perfectly between the steering column and the center control console on the dash of my JK. It is also not too conspicuous there.

Comments: This is a small cb with all of the features of the larger ones. I use a firestik 4ft antenna with a Teraflex mount on it. I have had no problems at all with it so far.

Comments: Good CB for the money, Compact size allowed me to install it conveniently below my climate controls. It receives a lot better than the midland that I had with the same antenna setup. In my opinion well worth it.

Price: $44.00
Pros: ANL, Instant CH.9, Easy to read channel indicator, RF Gain, PA/EXT speaker support.
Cons: none at this time
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This is my first radio, I purchased this along with a Firestik II antenna. I did my research on this site and on the web determined where to mount the radio & antenna, followed the antenna tuning instructions all in all it was straight forward install, the tuning went well and using the radio will be very handy on trail runs. So far for a first radio I am more than happy with my purchase.
