Price: $164.00
Pros: Small unit, fits out of the way with the extra TJ mounting bracket. Excellent reception.
Cons: When using the extra TJ mounting bracket, the speaker is nestled down by my leg, making it difficult to hear.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Installation was a breeze, and the range and sensitivity is great - I seem to hear and talk to others better than many of my trail mates.

The speaker issue was resolved with an Bearcat external speaker (the 510 has an external speaker jack) routed up and hangs from the roll bar, a must when mounting the unit on the shift tunnel cover, down by the driver throttle leg.

Pros: small footprint, easy to read LEDs, It does its job on the cheap!
Cons: no weather channel?

Comments: You get more than what you pay for here, with that being said, don't pay a lot. Its a basic CB. I tuned my antenna (A MUST DO) and I'm getting 10 miles out of it easy.

Pros: Compact, easy to use, good range when tuned with good antenna. Loudspeaker comes in loud and clear, did not apper to have problems being heard. Functions perform as advertized
Cons: Not sure yet. Maybe time will tell.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I got this compact CB to use on the occasions when I go off-road with others. I had a highly receommended truck accesory shop tune it to a Lil Willy mag-mount I also purchased from them. Up in the mountains while it was raining/snowing I was able to hear all of the CB-using riders in a +20 vehicle line while beign 5th from the lead, and i could hear others in the back trying to reach others just behind me. So for less than $50 in a nice little unit I get decent quality and the AVR and sqealch adjustments do a decent job as far as I can tell. Only problem is I pick up my own engine noise when I accelerat, could be because I have a inline-4, or maybe CB being on top of cneter dash? Even then the interference is minimal and really didn't have an issue on the trails.

Pros: Great little radio
Cons: Internal speaker could be louder
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Great radio for the price. Speaker could be a little louder, but this can be fixed by adding an external speaker. I've had it for 7 years now, it's been in four different vehicles. Still works flawlessly.

Pros: The Uniden Pro510XL is a great little compact radio that works well.
Cons: None so far
Recommended? Yes

Comments: The Jeep and Offroad kit I got from rightchannelradios.com is a really great kit. I upgraded to the Teraflex antenna mount that installs between the tail light and the body. The kit comes with everything you need, including an SWR meter, so antenna tuning was easy.

I mounted the radio overhead using a metal shelf support based on a write-up I found on JF. I chose to mount it overhead to get it out of the way, and so the speaker is well positioned. The Uniden has a pretty good output on the speaker, so it's relatively easy to hear.

I've had the radio for a couple months, and have used it on a couple of road trips and on the trail. The range seems to be pretty good, but that's mainly due to proper antenna tuning.

Overall, it's a great little compact radio, so mounting it anywhere is pretty easy. Reception and transmission are good, and the kit from rightchannelradios.com is a complete and service was great.

Cons: None

Comments: This CB is the perfect radio for a Wrangler, It's small and easily can be installed out of the way. Sound quality is good, But i did install and external speaker on the roll bar by my head when sitting in the drivers seat. Only to hear better when i have the top off or the windows rolled down. You can't really go wrong on the price for a good quality CB, It's just as good as the more expensive models.
