The PC68XL offers you front mic access, Dynamic Squelch Control (DSC), a new rugged mic, 40 Channels, an S/RF meter, and a channel indicator. Also included is a channel selector, a TX/RX indicator, instant channel 9, RF gain control, a PA mode and mic gain control.

Comments: I have had it for a least 8 years, no problems. Got it on sale a WalMart. It reaches out further and sounds clearer than most CBs in the gourp I wheel with, even when I used it with a magnetic antenna.

Pros: Uses a common Cobra board, so any repair work is easy, it's loud, and has great audio.

Comments: I picked my 68 Elite off an old-time CBer for $100. When I got it, it had variable power output, unlocked mod-limiter, and a swing kit. So far, it's proven to be the only CB that can withstand a lot of off-road abuse. The form-factor is nice since it's a mid-size chassis, so mounting options are a-plenty, even in an 89 XJ.

Comments: Bought 2 of these for $45 off of craigslist. I put one in my Ram 2500 and the other in my Rubi. I have no complaints really. I had a Cobra 148 before which was a better radio but It stopped working and I couldn't fix it.

Cons: Had to send the first one back, fried board, but the company sent me a new one no questions asked. Everybody makes a turd now and then but at least this company wipes.

Comments: I have had my cb for a few months now and I love it. The DSC works great and makes things crystal clear. I do have to play with the RF gain but once its dialed in things work great. Weather bands all function well but the weather warning scares the piss out of me everytime it goes off.
If I had to buy this CB over again I would and I would even pay an extra $20 if I had to.
