Awesome. If you break this antenna then you already broke something else. No need to tune it because with a spring it's the size/type antenna that cb's are tested with in the laboratory. Check the SWR once to make sure all of your connections are good and that's IT.

Radio Shack 102" SS Whip Antenna

Have 2 of these on the back bumper of my Jeep. Also added 6 inch spring sections to the bottom for a total of 108'. These are hooked to my Galaxy DX 959 CB.

Its a great antenna but rather get a real steal whip something a big different, that wont bend as easy like this one did

works for me just fine. I painted mine black cause im not a big fan of shiny

Installed the antenna on the rear bumper. Cable went through an opening inside the back bumper and up through the wheel well. Kept the cable under the carpet up to the front dashboard using the passenger side. The cable was then fed under the dashboard to the CB radio. Approximately 15 - 20 minutes to install. Use a SWR meter to adjust the right antenna height.
