Price: $27.00
Pros: Small size. Nice feel of the mic. Inexpensive. I've always liked Midland radios.
Cons: None yet, but haven't had it long. We'll see.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I really like the radio. I've always been partial to Midland, but that's just because my Granddad always used them. I really like the way the mic feels. I've had a couple cbs in the past - Uniden and Radio Shack. The mics felt so small and cheap. This one feels better. The compact size is great. Doesn't take up too much room. Sound quality is pretty good for such a small unit.

Price: $20.00
Pros: Cheap and works.
Cons: None yet.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: The radio works great and is cheap which is a plus for me cause I only use it while wheeling. It's small so I had a ton of choices of where to place it. The mic feels cheap in the hand but again, look at the price, I can live with it. I was worried that the one small built in speaker wouldn't be powerful enough to hear but it's fine. It has a an audio out that I can plug into my radio's aux plug but I don't like the way it sounds, it's got a hum. I do recommend it.

Price: $40.00
Pros: easy to use and install
Cons: finicky to get the proper SWR
Recommended? Yes

Comments: It comes in a small package so it's pretty easy to mount anywhere in the jeep. keep it away from other electronics or it will mess with your SWR.

Price: $30.00
Pros: Great controls, squelch control and RF gain work well.
Cons: Channel knob plastic-y, and sometimes jumps more than one channel per click on the knob.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I got this to talk to a couple of friends on the air waves. I've been impressed with it thoroughly. It was the least expensive one on Amazon, and had reviews that were better than ones for three times the price.

Price: $70.00
Pros: Small, easy to find a place to install it. Reliable. Rugged looking design that doesn't attact unwanted attention. The microphone is much better than mic's found on comparable Uniden models. I like its simplicity, and layout. No extra garbage on it that I don't want or need. And its cheap, so if it gets stolen, breaks, gets wet or whatever its not a big deal.
Cons: I wonder if the bells and whistles on the more expensive ones are worth it...?
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I love it. I looked around a lot when picking one out. Was looking at a similar Uniden model cause of the brand name.

The very knowledgable guy at the radio shop I bought it from convinced me the Midland was the best for what I was doing with it.

Came with everything to install it on my TJ's dash. Have not had a problem with it all summer. It was used every weekend.

As for transmitting and recieving. I tuned it with an SWR meter, and outperform many of the other guys with fancy radios and lousy tunes.

Pros: Small, easy to install.
Cons: None yet.

Comments: Got it in a kit with the mounting brackets and Firestik II antenna. Really easy to install with everything fitting to existing screws (no drilling!). Still gonna get an external speaker because it's kinda hard to hear when going down the road but the reception is great.

Price: $35.00
Pros: Good CB, Good reception Easily found at a cheap price!
Cons: No channel memory if not wired to a permanent power source, it will default back to channel 9
Recommended? Yes

Comments: For $35 you can't really go wrong. It does what it is supposed to do and is pretty cheap, but doesn't feel or look cheap.

Price: $30.00
Pros: Small, cheap, does what it needs to
Cons: Speaker starting to crackle
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Its great for what you pay for, don't expect it to be the best CB ever made tho. PA works pretty decent with a 100w speaker and no amp.

Comments: seems like a good unit! I had a uniden I got from Quadratec in a kit in my old Jeep. The Midland is similar in size and performance. Only negative I have found so far is that if not hooked up to a constant power source, it always goes back to Ch 9 when the vehicle is turned off. Other than that, it's a good deal for $40!
