Comments: Love it, was concerned about the speaker not being loud enough, and it is plenty, unless you are driving at highway speeds with the top down.

Pros: Compact Easy to install Easy to use
Cons: None

Comments: I got this radio as part of a package from . I love it. I got mine with the 4ft Wilson flex and tail-light mount. Installation was a snap and keeps the space used to a minimum. I like how the controls are all on the handset, makes it easy to work with the functions and make whatever changes are needed.

Pros: size - it's everything easily removable
Cons: no pa
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I like it - it comes out very quickly and other than my antenna there's no evidence of me having a cb when I leave the jeep which comes in handy because in AZ you can run 360+ days out of the year w/o at top

Price: $129.95
Pros: It is very easy to install and even easier to operate. Just like using a walkie talkie. Gets weather from NOAA just about anywhere and is very helpful.
Cons: It doesn't have a lot of features.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have had one in every vehicle I have ever owned because it is very easy to operate, mantain, and use. This CB radio is ideal for anyone who lacks the room for a radio and box, or anyone who wants a space saver that is still functional. They are reliable and I have yet to have one break on me.

Pros: Small Unit
Cons: Hard to Hear
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Nice small CB. Fits in my jeep good.

12/29/09 - My CB stopped making sounds. I think the speaker is broke. It still lights up and transmits and receives per the icons on the CB itself, but not sound. No longer suggest buying this.

Pros: Compact radio, very clean install in a WK which has no place to mount a bigger radio, weather channel, output for an external speaker
Cons: ok power, ok speaker for a quite interior like a WK
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Good radio for trail riding, difficult install but resulted in a really clean install with only the handset/mic visible.

Pros: Great space saver in a Wrangler
Cons: none
Recommended? Yes

Comments: The install was fairly straight forward and took about 3 hours total. The weather channels work well and the CB channels come in clear. Also installed the external speaker which was well worth the trouble. It is a simple CB that does a simple job when I am off road. Now I have space for a 2m/70cm ham rig.

Price: $88.00
Pros: compact / weather band
Cons: can't find any yet
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I picked this CB because if it's small size and I also found most reviews to be positive. It was very easy to install and I am pleased with it's performance. I may add an external speaker.

Update: I purchased a small external speaker now I have to say it is an excellent CB. The speaker was only $12.95. I find after using it for a couple of weeks that it performs as good as most other CB's I have owned.

Pros: Easily Portable
Cons: Range is minimum, and will require a external speaker.

Comments: Easiy install, nice all in unit. Requires an external speaker and the range seems a bit short. Purchased it to be used off road while traveling in groups so dont see this as being a problem. Very Happy with this unit.

Price: $99.99
Pros: All in one mic. No need to look around to see your settings. Channel scan and Weather channels.
Cons: A bit heavy. A few more button operations to remember than my last CB.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Bought this to replace my last CB which had given up the ghost. A lot more features than what I was expecting given the size of the mic. Only problem is that mounting the connection box for your antenna, the box is small and can be mounted almost anywhere, but it's not that waterproof. Comes with all the mounting hardware you need to mount it wherever you chose and the mic cable is long enough also. Once you get everything set up and tuned, it's a great Radio. I would most likely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced set-up.

Price: $201.00
Pros: Easy to hide, weather radio came with external speaker
Cons: Can't see the display and talk at the same time, needs external speaker in a jeep
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Bought as a jeep kit from Right Channel. Came with CB, Wilson flex antenna, SWR meter, cable, mount for right rear tail light and external speaker. Install was straight forward. No engine noise SWR on channel 1 of 1.2 and on channel 40 it is 1.1 out of the box didn't even need to adjust it.

Price: $120.00
Pros: Compact. Channel control in handset. Weatherband. Easily removed from vehicle for theft avoidance.
Cons: Small speaker. If microphone breaks the entire radio is in for repair or replacement.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Two biggest drawbacks - the speaker is very small, and if the microphone breaks the entire radio is down until it's repaired or replaced.

The installation can be very slick - only a small jack is in the dash, console, etc. and the radio can easily be plugged into or removed from the jack.

An external speaker is heavily recommended for use in Wranglers, CJ's, etc. - due to the small size of the internal speaker the ambient road noise can overpower the audio unless an external speaker is used.

I like their usage in Wranglers because they are so easily removed from the vehicle and secured in a lockbox. In my Commander I reverted to the Uniden 510 because it's not a soft top vehicle and so somewhat less tempting to passerby theft.

The weatherband is a nice feature; I found it very helpful when traveling on vacations. While local am/fm weather is available if you tune in at the right time, the national weather available on the Cobra is always available when a transmitter is within range.

As on all CB's - use a good antenna with this radio. A good antenna, properly tuned, will enhance the performance of the rig.

This radio, to me, is the radio of choice in two circumstances: (1) theft avoidance in paramount and/or (2) space restrictions require an absolute minimal installation.
