Comments: I bought my 29 at a pawn shop 10 years ago. My antenna is a 102 inch steel whip with a ground plain kit and elkin rg8 coax. As long as you get the SWR right the cobra 29 will never let you down!!

Price: $89.99
Pros: Works excellent with communication
Cons: mounting
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I recived my Cobra 29 a week ago, and it was worked perfectly. Mounting was challenging considering the dash on 99 Tj's is sloped. I decided to mount it next to the Stick Shift, and have used it to talk to other CB-ers, other Jeepers, and using a P.A. Speaker talk to other cars, or scare friends. It has exceptional sound quality, and exceptional voice quality. It has been excellent.

Comments: I have a 4.5' Francis Antenna with the CB mounted inside an Ammo can center console. Have only used it on the trails and was impressed with how easy it was to set up and go.

Price: $110.00
Pros: Powerful, Easy to use.
Cons: Large
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I purchased this CB at a CB shop in Dallas. THe shop is family owned for over 30 years and they are very knowledgeable. The CB gave me some minor trouble fitting where I wanted it at first, but I got it installed and she squawks and hears just fine out to about 8 miles in some places. I have received as far as 12 miles at a few places.
I have no problems with this CB and highly recommend it.

Pros: good radio, easy to expand
Cons: hard to see at night.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have two Cobra 29 LTD's, one i use to see if i can upgrade and the other is for the Jeep. I am looking at going to the Cobra 29 NW (which has the lights around the knobs) or the Cobra 29 Lx which is a lot more impressive radio. For the price you can get a good strong Cobra CB.

Pros: It still works!
Cons: Lots of static and engine interference (sometimes)

Comments: Mine is actually a 19 LTD classic, but that's not listed here. This radio my family has had since the early '90's, and it still works like a charm! Besides the (sometimes) static, of course...

Price: $50.00
Pros: Works awesome, reliable, adjustable.
Cons: Very bulky in my jeep, I may have to go with a smaller unit to save space.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: It works great for what it is. It transmits and recieves better than all my wheeling buddies units. The adjustabilty is very good, and it filters out the backround garbage way better than my previous radios. The only drawback for me is the size, I wish it were a little more compact for my already crowded interior.

Price: $47.40
Pros: Works great, sounds good barefoot, good looking, SWR meter on the face.
Cons: It took me a while to figure out a good looking spot to put it. No performance issues however.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought this off eBay used, you cant even tell. This deosn't have the soundtracker option, which I would recommend if you know anyone else who has one. This is a good looking radio, none of that flashy stuff to draw attention in your old rig. It is also really easy to work, and will take allot of crap. Sounds good and I have gotten some really good range with this thing. My only real use for this though is for the trails, and wouldn't suggest it to anyone driving a street machine, because there just isn't any use for a street rig having this.
