Pros: The CB has been tweaked and will pick up transmissions from a LONG way off! I am usually the only one on the trail without any communication issues!
Cons:  I wish the unit itself for packaged a little smaller so the installation coilf have been more discreet.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I am very happy with the purchase of the Cobra 29 CB. It's great to be able to talk in the back of the woods with no cell phone coverage and hear from the spotter who may be in the Jeep in front of you!

Pros: excellent clarity, plenty of power, onboard SWR meter makes tuning simple
Cons: SWR lamp doesnt last long, radio needs external speaker when used in jeep

Comments: i purchased this radio about 5 years ago at a Flyin' J truck stop on the way back from Dallas Texas, prior to this i was using a Uniden Bearcat 150GXL, the 29 has performed flawlessly this whole time, survived a rollover after hitting a dear and is now installed in my current vehicle with a 102" radioshack ss whip

Pros: Cheap reliable and basic.
Cons: None

Comments: Not much can be said about this classic radio. It's cheap and reliable. Does what it needs to do. No need to spend $100s on a fancy high powered rig.

Pros: Works great! Has PA controls Has weather channels
Cons: Bulky for an xj
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I love mine! I'm running it with a 3 foot antenna and it works great on and off the trail to talk to fellow jeepers. I like the fact it has weather channels so I can listen to the weather without pulling it up on my phone. The speaker is loud and clear on it
It's dimmer switch is nice at night so I don't have all kinds of bright lights on in the jeep while driving. Overall I like it I just wish it had Bluetooth for my phone.

Comments: My father used this same cb for years when he was a truck driver, when he had to stop working he gave it to me. I've been running it for 3 years now and love it besides being a little bulky, it has great clarity, and a built in swr meter. with options to connect a pa system.

Price: $80.00
Pros: Great sound and output.
Cons: Big
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Don't have . The radio anymore. Lent to a friend many years ago and never saw it again. I used to get routine compliments on the sound of this radio. Most thought I was running a high priced high powered radio. I didn't even have a power Mic.

I have owned many radios from the conga 25, 148, RCI 2950, galaxy's, but never got as many "flowers" as when I used this radio.

Price: $70.00
Pros: I have literally beaten this thing with the roughest logging and coal RDS in southern west Virginia and aside from standing wave issues this thing still talks wayyyy out.
Cons: None really any issues were a direct result of the territory I'm in.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I've had my cobra 29 for years, and I'm in very mountainous terrain. I use this radio daily both open road and on the job and I've never had a problem with radio itself... that being said, due to the rough driving conditions like everyday mud and fender deep holes I have to adjust my standing wave at least once a week. Vibration is a beast. Even now with years of dust an over stretched mic cord and yellowing plastic swr panel. I still get asked all the time if I'm running a modded radio. Nope all factory and still running loud and clear. The cobra 29 ltd is the best platform for work and constant abuse. Mine has never failed me.

Pros: It can take a kicking under the passenger side
Cons: none

Comments: Got the CB at a truck stop and it does its job. Had to make sure that the wiring is away from the regular radio antenna cable and use a good rubber washer for the antenna install.
