Price: $59.99 Pros: SoundTracker feature and Wx. Cobra quality. Inexpensive Cons: none Recommended? Yes
Comments: I was looking for a good trail CB with Wx. This model fills that role witout breaking the bank. The 10 band Wx works great and I was able to keep track of the incoming storm during my last wheeling trip. Definitely recommend this unit.

Price: $100.00 Pros: works great Cons: big mic Recommended? Yes
Comments: good cb radio, definitely a step above my old radio-shack cb. the mic is abit large but does fit in your hand nicely. also looses channel memory when it looses power so either it drains your battery all the time or you have to set the channel every time you turn the jeep off and on again. the screen is only viable at a small range of angles making it hard to see what channel you are on.

Price: $45.00 Pros: Good Functionality for the Price, Nice Weather Feature Cons: Recieving distance could be farther, but it could partly be my antenna. Recommended? Yes
Comments: Good little CB for the money, can pick them up at many stores (Wal-mart, Radioshack ect). Works great in the trails even with all the tree cover, not much to complain about.

Price: $80.00 Pros: Sounds okay, instant weather Cons: makes a humming noise and weather reception isn't great Recommended? No
Comments: Easy to install, tune, use. There are better idiot-boxes out there though. It's a good size; that's why I bought/kept it.

Price: $60.00 Pros: Instant weather channels, instant channel 9/19 and good speaker. Cons: Hard to read display in any type of sunlight, stopped working after less than a month, no PA speaker, kind of bulky. Recommended? No
Comments: A decent CB, I got caught in a severe thunderstorm out on a trail in Ouray and the CB stopped transmitting so I am going to replace it with a Cobra 29 LDT BT because of the bluetooth capabilities. One thing that drove me crazy with the Cobra 18WXSTII is the fact that it is nearly impossible to read the display with any type of light hitting it, with the top off you have to put your hands around it and block the sun to be able to see the display. Besides that and the lack of a PA, it is a pretty good CB to start out with if you've never used one before.

Price: $90.00 Pros: 10 NOAA weather stations
SoundTracker
Dual station watch Cons: speaker is a bit quiet
no adjustable RF gain Recommended? Yes
Comments: Fairly basic unit but it fit perfectly on the dash of my TJ. Weather stations, SoundTracker function and dual channel watch are a plus but I would like to have an RF gain adjustment. The speaker is loud enough I suppose but the Jeep isn't the quietest vehicle out there so on the highway it can be hard to hear but add an external speaker via the 3.5mm jack on the back of the unit and you're in business. All-in-all a good, basic unit.

Price: $1.00 Pros: compact and versitale Cons: Need a bigger antenna Recommended? Yes
Comments: This CB works very well. I have no idea how much it is because it was given to me by another Jeeper. The only thing it needs is a bigger whip antenna. All I have is the little magnetic antenna.

Price: $60.00 Pros: Cheap
No need for external speaker
NOAA Weather stations.
Small package - it can he mounted anywhere. Cons: No real power to the speaker.
With the windows down, it is hard to make out what people are saying.
It is more of an emergency CB.
Signal strength is ok... not great. Recommended? Yes
Comments: I have owned the Cobra 18 WX ST II since 2000 and it never really failed me.
My only real negativity was the built-in speaker.
I wanted to be able to hear people with the windows down.
So a couple years ago, I added an external speaker and my new set up works great.
HG S100
But I been seriously looking to get the 29 WX NW BT
A full size that i can have calibrated.

Price: $75.00 Pros: Weather Stations
2 Channel Monitor
Noise Reduction Cons: Speaker is not the loudest. Recommended? Yes
Comments: Good all around radio.
I really like the weather channels and the reception seems to be pretty good considering I live over 60 miles from the nearest NOAA staton.
The speaker is not loud enough to be heard when my top and doors are off but that is to be expected.

Price: $65.00 Pros: NOAA weather bands Cons: No PA function. Recommended? Yes
Comments: All in all, I enjoy this CB. It is a full size so find a place to mount it is kind of hard in a jeep, but if you use your imagination it can be done to look real nice. My only real draw back to this model is the lack of a PA mode. Not a bad trade off for the NOAA channels if you can get them.
