Price: $350.00
Pros: Economical, good name behind it, easy install
Cons: None so far
Recommended? Yes

Comments: VR8000 has done everything I've asked of it. Pulled me out of several deep holes at steep angles. If I had to do it again I would opt for the synthetic rope option! Steel is a bit cheaper and proven, but re-winding is a pain and rust/corrosion over time are a worry. Invest in a cover as it did NOT include one.

Pros: The "Warn" name at a great price!
Cons: Can't think of any!

Comments: This is a great entry level winch that is Warn quality at a value price! Spend the extra money on a Warn vs the cheaper winches. This winch has been submerged at times and still continues to work great. It has yet to let me down!

Comments: Installation was a breeze, have yet to really use it. I will update this review once I have used the winch a few times.

Comments: This is an economical choice from Warn. I didn't want to spend less and end up with Chinese junk.

Warn has a reputation and I'm sure they're not going to risk it anytime soon.

Pros: Price size warranty
Cons: Poor install instructions

Comments: I think its an entry level winch, but it appears it will do the job. I have not had the chance to use it yet. I used a smitty mounting bracket for the original bumper, it was a pain, but it turned out pretty good.

Pros: Great powerful winch. Warns lifetime warranty and legendary customer service. Easy install. Great price for what you get.
Cons: Can't say I have any yet
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I gotta say I bought this winch back in June and am more than pleased with it. Don't let the "entry level winch" turn you away its the real deal. I have used about a dozen times. Mainly pulling myself out of deep mud holes. Also yanked a dodge Dakota out of a ditch. I truely am 100% satisfied with my purchase and know it will always get me home.

Comments: Not much can be said, WARN quality has been known for decades now. I don't see this product being any different. Still has the famous WARN warranty in case something does go awry!

Price: $430.00
Pros: cost, Warranty,
Cons: controller connection
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I got this winch for Christmas and promotly put it on my TJ. I pulled myself up a hill attached to the back of a truck to get the winch line nice and tight. everything worked great, its not the fastest winch out there, but it gets the job done. I winched for a little bit then gave it a rest, thinking that the motor would be hot. It was not hot in the slightest.

I recently gave this winch a real workout and it worked great. wheeling in Gore VA in the snow was fun, but required a lot of winching. probably pulled myself 10-12 times over the two days.

only time will tell if this winch will hold up as well as the rest of the Warn line.

Cons: None at the moment.

Comments: For sure a much needed accessory for a Jeep. I have not had a chance to test it out yet but I will the first chance I get. Instructions were very clear and spot on. Packing was awesome as well that protected it during shipping.

Price: $320.00
Pros: Low cost, great warrenty, Warn name, 8000 lbs, nice finish
Cons: faulty wiring out of the box
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I purchased this winch on the fly at Jeep beach because of the $400 out the door price plus an $80 mail in rebate and the Warn name. I figured since it had the same warrenty as the other winches in Warn's line why not try it. Unlike the M8000 this winch came with the solenoid box mounting plate and a roller fairlead. Putting the soliniod on the winch and hooking it up was a breeze.

As soon as I had it mounted i went to test it and noticed that i had to wiggle the connector where the remote hooks to the solenoid to get it to make good contact and work. I was getting ready to go on a wheeling trip so i figured I would get it taken care of when I got back. I made a total of 3 pulls on this winch before one of the pins was pushed so bad it would not make contact anymore.

Upon return home I promptly contacted Warn and they gave me the number to one of the guys that does their warrenty work 15 minutes from my house. He allowed me to just remove the solenoid box and take it to him for warrenty work. In less than a week I had the box back with a new pigtail and it cost me nothing but a few buck in gas. Warns customer service and warrenty process makes them a no brainer to use in the future for me, my M8000 has been working with no issues but corrosion on the connectors (my fault) since 2003 with out a hiccup. I would recommend over other low budget winches for the simple fact that warn takes care of there people when issues arise.
