Pros: One of the highest duty ratings of Warn's winch line up. Strong pull rating if you consider layer wrap. Low proflie w/o the solenoid box.
Cons: Solenoid box mount loosened up so that the solenoid box has rubbed the paint off the grill where it now rests. The spreader rods spanning the winch drum don't provide enough room for the cable to build up on one side of the winch drum.

Comments: This is a strong pulling, excellent winch that has served me very well over the last 6 year. It's powerful and fast. However, I had grand plans to relocate the solenoid box under the hood for a cleaner front end look and install. After 6 years it still hasn't happened.

While the winch IS very good I wish I had gotten the 9.5ti. It's an even faster winch with built-in solenoid pack. And that built-in pack is MUCH higher than the 9.5xp's spreader rods spanning the winch drum. This means that in winching operations there is more room on the 9.5 to let the cable build up on one side of the drum with out it grinding on those spreader rods / solenoid pack.

Comments: The fastest winch I've ever seen pulls my jeep like it had no load what so ever. Also pulls sunk vehicles like it's no big deal. I would be lost without it.

Comments: I have only put it on recently (about a couple of months ago). It is very nice and fast. Pulled a stuck LandCruiser a week ago, didn't seem like there was any weight on it. I like the performance so far. It would have been nicer with synthetic rope, but I can always change that.

Comments: This winch is one fast sucker under load. I've used in many times so far. It has given me a flawless performance. From winching my TJ up waterfalls, winching out my buddy's sunk CJ (literally), to recovering full sized trucks from snowy ditches, you can expect this winch to get the job done without any complaint. This winch is serious. Definitely worth every penny. Wouldn't expect anything less from Warn.
