Smittybilt XRC8

I tested the smittybilt xrc8 out tonite, i had my jeep in park and a buddy inside with his foot on the brake, it pulled it with no problems, cant wait to get out on the trail and give it a good test.

The XCR 8000 for the price and quality rates right up front with the warn winch. The recovery and pulling power of the winch is good. The mechanical aspects of the winch are good. I have had this winch for 3 years without any problems.

So far this has been a great little winch. Its has pulled my dads 3500 dodge ram diesel out a couple times with little to no effort.

I honestly haven't used this winch yet, other than stretching out the line. I can say it was easy to install & looks pretty solid. It did get a little warm when I was spooling in the full length of the line under a light load. I had to stop for a few minutes to let the winch cool down. I'm giving it a "good" rating until I otherwise need to change it. I'll update after I get stuck

Found to be the bestt winch on the market in the 8,000 pound class. It didn't hurt that the price was less than half of other winches.

SB winches are a good bang for the buck. You won't win any races but you'll get yourself out of a hole okay.

Very goo winch for the price. Its less than $300 bucks and you have the confidence of the winch on the front.
So cheap thinking of putting one on the back. It couldn't hurt!! LOL

I have used this winch a couple of times. Last time I pulled a tree probably 3' around 80 long off this hunting road I was on. It pulled just fine the XJ would not pull it in 4 low with out spinning but the winch made light work of it.
