Any help? The ZJ's dimmable dash lights flicker. It seems like it may be a loose connection. If it is, where should I start to look for it?

It's the headlight switch assembly. Something inside goes bad with the dimmer and causes the lights to flicker. What style do you need? I'.ve got an extra one with fogs but no auto I can get rid off once I get my new one with auto and fogs in..

this might not be your problem, but when i bought mine i put a rear license plate holder on. the screws that came with it ended up being too long, and it screwed into my tail light wires causing the the dash lights to flicker. couldn't find the problem so i took it to the dealership, after a couple days of looking they found it and i walked out with an $1100.00 bill

It does have the auto lights so I'll look around and see what I can find, thanks though. I'll keep your offer in the back of my mind.

No aftermarket head unit.
Funny how the problem comes and goes. It was fine for a week or so and then this morning it was flickering again. I am going to see if I can take the unit apart and clean any contacts I find.
