Yj ignition coil

My 1990 wrangler 4.2L 6 cyl is having a problem with the ignition coil. Even when the car is off there is still power to the ignition coil. and when I start the jeep it wont shut off. I just replace the ignition switch in it. The only way to stop the power to it is to disconnect the battery. Any ideas of what it is.

Sound like a short... trace your hot wire back towards the ignition best you can and see if you can find burn marks...that's first thing I would check
