Yet another sub & amp thread

First off THANK YOU guys for answering all these questions that keep coming up over and over. I searched "subs" and read and read and read, some of you have really gone out of your way to help us newbs. I'll try and give you as many specifics as I can to get everyone on the same page.

What I have.
Alpine receiver, cde-102 tried to keep it fairly cheap because it may get wet!

4- 6.5" infinity kappa 62.9i 75w rms @ 2ohms. went with what sounded good to me.

Alpine mrp-f300 amp for the 6.5s, 4ch. 75w rms at 2ohms.

So for the question. What sub and amp?? Music is classic rock, alt. rock, some top 40/dance, reggae, not much rap.

Leaning towards 1 or 2 10" subs in a home built sealed box, down firing where the rear seat would normally be. Theft is not an issue as it will eventually be all out of site and somewhat secure.

$500. ish range for subs and amp but thats not firm if a little more for something is worth it. For one 10" I figured 300-500rms would be good with the 75rms running the fills. Do I need to double that if I go two 10"s ??? (yes I'm a newb) oh and it's a softop tj.

So one or two subs? One I could go higher end dollar wise or is two better and needed since the jeeps so open air?

Can someone give some sub ideas and a matching amp that would fit the whole system, wouldn't mind sticking with an alpine amp since I'm already doing one.

Really hoping to get a few different reccomendations of sub & amp combos to go with that I can pick from.

i personally like kicker. some dont like them but i have run everything from an 8 to a 15 from them and never had a problem. right now im running an 11 YO solo baric and it still pounds. i also like the MA line of subs which is what im switching to this winter so my 4yo can put her feet down and not have them resting on my sub box.

Lots of brands...so little time...there are high end, middle end, and low end options that will work with your budget. You need to go out and listen to the subs and decide what you like.

I use an Alpine type R...it's proven reliable and a single DVC 10" gives me the bass I need. 2 10's and a decent amp to go with them will be in your range.
