To replace your stock headlights in your LJ? I'm sorry for being needy!

Yeah, its a plug and play 12 gauge harness that connects to the battery & ground then snaps onto the new h4 bulbs and has a male plug that snaps into the factory harness.

Heres a pic of it

Awesome. I was originally under the impression there was a HL281xx harness that would do what I need but I see that's not so now. Thank you!

Edit: the 28200J? I see the 28200 but no J suffix

Yeah Ray said even though its not listed to let them know you want the J bc it adds 10" of length to the harness so itll reach the battery against the firewall.

Recently my Passenger Side headlamp turned dim, while the Driver Side lamp was still bright in HI and LOW beam. I figured it was the lamp because it was over five years old. These are not OEMs, but DELTA H4 that i bought from 4WD.COM years ago. So I first replaced the headlamps because one of them had condensation inside the sealed lens. No luck, problem still persists, then I started poking around the internet and forums...came up with checking the H4 connectors, they were corroded from when I replaced the lamps, so this morning I replaced the passenger side H4 connector on the harness...and...problem persists, ****!
All I can think of now is to replace the harness with one made for the hotter burning H4 lights, like I should have done years ago when I upgraded the headlamps, had I only known to upgrade the harness at the same time.

Searching this forum, looks like a HL28200J harness from SMS is a good way to go.

Any other ideas? Or comments before I piss away another 100 bucks?

The harness from SMS arrived on three days via USPS. Am very impressed by the sturdy, heavy duty construction. Instructions are well written. Will install today and include pictures.

Got the same SMS harness a few days back. Incredible quality. I sealed the back of the connectors and relay holders with some clear rtv I had around. Post pics of your install if you would be so kind, I had a heck of a time picking where to put everything and I'm still not sure if I'm happy with it. Relays are on top the pdc right now.

Yeah i noticed that i would probably want to seal the h4 connectors up. Also, i ran the long cable to drivers side light alomg the firewall. Could have used another 6" or so of length but I made it work. May clean it up later. Still working on mounting the relays better. Hooked everything up late last night with the new cibies and bulbs. Huge difference

I mounted the relays next to the computer, by the battery...did not want to mount anything behind the battery just yet. Will see how this holds up then move it, definitely will seal the relays with sealant. Gorilla Tape for now.
Here are the pictures of my install, I did not have room behind the passenger light due to the Airaid Filter cold box.
One issue I did have is that the "J" version of the wiring harness (HL28200) was set up to hook into a H13 female terminal, not the H4 that was on my 2002 TJ.
With a little splicing, it all works great. Should have done this when I first bought the DELTA Halogen lamps, so much brighter!!!

Interesting...my connectors were all for h4. I have my relays right now zip ties near the battery until i found a good solution. Just use rtv or silicone to seal the plugs?

I think that the wiring harness I got was for a 2007 Wrangler, but I did not have time to return the harness, being that it was only 3 wires and that the connection is only for the light control, I was OK with splicing the wires.

A little advice to the next guy buying this Harness from SMS, specify the connector needed to hook into your light harness and year of your Jeep.

Oh yeah...I used clear silicone to seal the bottom of the relays, then used Gorilla Tape to protect it further from dirt.
Its all zip tied to the wire bundle above the battery.

That's weird, I got the 28200J and it was same connectors all the way around...sounds like you got a flub. I like where you mounted your relays, I'm going to see if I can get mine to mount there.
