What stereo in Tuffy stereo console?

Hey all,
what do you have in your consoles as far as MP3/CD players go? Do any of you have issues with it skipping since the CD plays vertically?
Crutchfield doesn't help at all when you tell them the setup you need..I've called them to no avail. Since they can't look the application up in a book, they don't know.

What works and what doesn't?

Hey, I would not recommend a flip/fold down face cuz some of them don't leave u enough room to insert/remove the CD when folded and some of the electronic ones aren't even strong enough to push it open so I would get one that inserts right through the face. Pioneer Premier, Clarion and a few others make some MP3/WMA CD-Players that will work just fine. Just about every manual I've seen says not to mount it near vertical but the only problems I've had w/ skipping is when going over massive bumps too fast =P

The headunit I'm usin (in my siggy) is a real nice one, I love it!

That's exactly the HU I was looking at! The price on them is coming down too. Any problems with it other than skipping over huge bumps (which every CD player does)?

Umm nope... It's very customizable and I dunno about many other headunits but this one only has 4-ch... So what I did when I installed my subwoofer was get a Y splitter and put all 4 speakers on the 1-2 channel and my sub on the 3-4 channel which is no big deal but I lose individual control over all of my speakers. You can tweak stuff very good through this headunit though. If you find any good online prices from trusted (authorized dealer) sites, maybe take that to a local store and they'll give you that price. A few stores I have around here have done that but I think they are 1-location type stores.
