waterproofing stereo
2 things
any good ideas on waterproofing a stereo while washing out the inside of a jeep with a hose. mine always seems to get wet and temporarily malfunctions. second: any ideas on how to stop the water from coming in thru the air intake grill on top of the hood just under the windsheild. i always seem to get water coming thru there also. thanks cajun

i know that some boats have plastic shields that go over the front of the radio. you could go to a boating store to see if they sell them. Then just screw/glue it up and have a little plastic shield for the front of it.

Re: waterproofing stereo
Quote:
The sreen is there to prevent water from entering into the vent system and end up in the interior.

I got the same problem with my cowl. I don't have carpet and my drain plugs are pulled so I don't mind it much, I just don't like getting my shoes soaked every time I take a corner after rain or wash. What do you mean by cowl screen? I guess I need one. Thanks.
