I like this one. I might go with it. Blaupunkt's 8" powered sub. Smallest I've seen yet. Like I've said, just a little low end that my 4x6's and 5''s aren't providing.

Yes, the kenwood is powered. It sounds fine with the seat up but the only time I even do that is if I have stuff back there or if the windows are out and its raining. I'm completely happy with it and I wouldn't want anything else.

70w RMS for a 8" sub or 150w RMS for a 6.5" sub. thats kinda strange.

How difficult was it to mount the subwoofer? have any more pics??

How difficult was it to mount? Well, lets just say I have a degree in mechanical engineering and I don't think I could have done this otherwise. Honestly though, all I did was slide that piece of plywood under the metal seat supports then screw the sub to it so the sub and plywood sandwich around the seat supports.

I don't have ay more pics right now, but if you have any specific requests then I'll gladly go down to the garage and take some.

Why dont you go with the 33 engineering seat sub... there isnt much space at all taken up and the sub is hidden from wandering eyes...

I just ordered mine from them.. you just take your seat cushion out.. cut a little away and put it on the top of the box, the seat is totally usable with the exception of your hemorides flying through your throat if you are the unlucky one to be sitting in the seat while your bumping...

Then again that could be a good thing.. Howard Stern and the chick sitting on the subwoofer come to mind.. lol

Could you wak me thru the install. What thickness of plywood. Size of the piece. Did you fasten it the plywood to anything? How did you wire it? Is it used with the factory head unit?

The piece of plywood is just a scrap from the garage; I have no clue what size or thickness it is. The plywood is just slid under the supports in the bottom of the seat, then the sub is screwed down to it.

Its wired just like any other sub - RCA cables to the head unit for sound, power to the battery and remote turn on to the head unit. I have an aftermarket head unit, but you could do the same thing with the factory one.
