Unusual Powering issues 94 Grand Cherokee

Driving home last night the speedometer and tachometer stopped working, then the stereo fluctuated sound level for about 5 minutes and then quit working, the headlights and brights were noticeably dimmer, the power in the vehicle was also less powerful, all advisory lights on dashboard were on (ABS, check engine..etc) and then when we turned onto our street (she drove like this for about 35 miles) she stalled and died. The check engine light came on earlier this week and I believe the code was 34 - Speed Control Solenoid Ciruit Open Or Shorted (Vacuum Or Vent). Any ideas???
