This guy fits the budget and should work pretty good:

Specs from Clarion:

As far as I know Clarion is still a pretty good company. It's not a large amp but it's not tiny so it may be a little harder to hide somewhere other than under the seat. Also at 95 watts x2 at two ohms it will not max out the speakers but that's plenty to make them loud. If your local Best Buy has the amp you should be able to hear it on the speakers, too.

You should be able to suspend most small amps under the steering column. Look or the threads in how to do the install. I forget the max amp footprint size. There are so many micro amps now...but on the $300 budget at bestbuy only it'll be tough to do better than the power pack.

The Clarion XC1410 might be another choice for an amp. I think it is supposed to have a bit more power and is a bit cheaper at Best Buy than the Alpine Power Pack.

Just installed this in my YJ, powering some kicker 6x9's... love it. I have it stashed inside my Smittybuilt center console. Doesn't get hot. Just waiting until I Monstaline my tub before I wire up my Polk 4x6s to it. (need to move my head unit to the console too)
