sub-woofer

I am in the process of upgrading my stereo. The sahara comes with a woofer in the console. What I'm wondering is should I upgrade that woofer and hook an amp to it or would it sound better to buy a sub box and put it in the trunk? I guess what I'm asking is, does the console box make a good enclosure for a woofer? Thanks in advance for the info.

I say put a sub in the "trunk". You can go with a larger woofer, and will have more air to breath. Another option is keep the consule sub and add the one in the back.

If your worried about space than clarion make a stealth box that mounts in the console and sound pretty good with a good amp. For more bass go with larger subs in the back.

hey razor, have you considered opting for a tube type sub woofer?

i hid a six inch fosgate tube behind the back seat of my '02 super duty and run it off of my amps sub output.
it pumps great bass without eating up precious little interior space.

good luck to you
