Sub power? Bad Ground?

Need some quick help here... Installed sub and amp and a brand new stereo.

Barely getting any power to the woofer. Could a bad amplifier ground be the problem? I've eliminated everything else. Don't try to school me I've done my research

Amp is by sound ordinance. The ground is not the problem... I think the amp isn't putting out enough power. Fuses are all good??? Super confused about all this.

Speakers are supposed to be plug and play

Everything tuned? Kicker is 800 max? 400rms? Should be plenty. What gauge power wire? Inline fuse amperage? Getcha a volt meter on the power wire to verify its getting the right power to the amp.

I've never had this problem with my systems. I'm running 2 JLW613v2s on a JL Slash v2 1000\1, Kenwood excelon HU.

I've never had this problem either.
Correct on the Kicker
80 amp inline fuse. Don't remember the gauge but it's the max that fits in the amp socket.

It's gotta just be a sucky amp

What's your gains at? If it's anywhere close to max, then it's a terrible amp. Probably doesn't push what it says it's rated for.

Why? Your amp gain should match your HU output, no more, no less.

Because it's not loud enough. That's kinda the whole point of this thread

Well yes, I got that, but gain is not volume, which is my point.

Amp gains are to adjust the amp according to the strength of the signal coming from the head unit. Gain does not directly affect amp output.

By gains I had assumed he was talking about like the "bass boost" function... I'm not ire where the gain level is at. I'll have to look
