Wired in parallel. The 2 ohm amp is mounted to the back side of the enclosure. The Comp VT is a 2 ohm amp, not sure what wattage. Granted you can run a higher rated amp, great if you are 20 yrs old again and want thump, the stock amp sounds clean and gives a much better hit then stock.

The only mod you need is there are ribs in the enclosure that need dremeled down, about 5 minutes of work. Also new holes for the mounting screws for the new subwoofer. It is actually really easy, the most time consuming part was removing the console and sub enclosure from center console.

Not sure how to post pictures. Any help?
Thanks Slick101, also threw in a picture of my new pedals

Oh and in the last pic, I see you're missing a pedal.

Looks Good, But how does it sound for real? I like base but I am not trying to drive around with two 10 inch subs in a large *** box taking up my entire trunk you know?

It is a huge improvemement over stock, but by no means, license plate shaking. A nice thump when needed, I changed out my front speakers to 5 1/4's and upgraded my sound bar as well, so the Comp VT is a nice rounded addition. The stock sub, always sounded somewhat "muddy" to me, where as this "hits".

ya I'm looking for something beter too. i have a 12in sub and everything else to hook it up but it won't work in my jeep with either mudd rain or getting stolen with top off. is the center consol a PITA to get off.

No the center console is only three screws and a cannon plug. The sub enclosure is only a couple more screws and some patience.

i would try to build an enclosure for a larger sub on the inside of that, but it would be hell

im going to see if i can build a pair of boxes that would be slanted and fire at the driver and passenger seat rails and get rid of this rear seat. that way i can maintain my cargo area, have a "stealth" box setup and they'll be protected from the elements relatively well

That's one of many but thanx for the install pics:

also check out these other 6.5" subs when shopping. Especially if you plan to add an aftermarket amp.
www.hemphop.com
www.elementaldesigns.com
www.cdtaudio.com
you can even do the cheap tangband 6.5 from partsexpress.com if you're on a budget.
www.jlaudio.com/ (altho that's common nowadays)
focal and morel make 6" subs if you want to spend a lot and have a LOT of sound in a small package.

Does the amp mount in the console? Does the amp run just the sub or does the amp run all the speakers? Im thinking that I can get away with running my highs with the radio and replace the sub amp to run just the sub.

Nice find by the way.
