hmmm .... I can't think of one instance that I would use a cell phone instead of reaching up to flip the switch. What do you guys have your sPod wired to that you need to activate remotely? Maybe I'm not thinking outside the box enough.

I havent done any reasearch, because it doesnt really tickle my fancy, but I assume your phone or tablet (or whatever device you choose to use) would completely replace the need for a gang of switches. It could free up a bit of space. Im digital, but im not that digital yet... I prefer the old school analog way when it comes to switches.

So who sells the sPod and how much. That looks cool. I could see the light thing for sure coming out to the Jeep at night etc.
I have a small keyphob for my AV lights that I use to put them on if it's really dark location. Also fun to freak people out with Make sure no one is around.
This might be good for my truck too. No extra keyphob/battery etc to worry about.

Have any of you heard of Google? Just Google sPod. And by the way, he hasn't released the phone app controller. sPod isn't just a phone controller, it's a whole line of vehicle specific switch systems.

Ouch and yes I have. I thought maybe someone on the site was selling them.
I would rather support a sponsor than a google searched site.

So what happens if your cell phone battery goes dead? And what happens if you need your lights but you forgot to bring your cell phone with you or perhaps it got stolen, and what happens…

I won’t be replacing my switches with that gizmo for quite some time to be sure.

you open the jeep and hit the switch manually? lol

It is bluetooth, so it has a short range in other words. IF it was an internet app like the on star app GM has I would be interested.

Yeah imagine that plus I can do it faster than getting my phone out of my pocket, pushing a couple of buttons on the phone to reach the app and then pushing at least one more button to activate a light.

It dosent replace the switches in the truck, and you cant use it unless you have the spod switches and wiring. It just goes inline with the spod wiring.
