soundbar replacement speakers

I just got my first jeep this week and loving every second of it. I have what appears to be a facory soundbar in my 2001 Wrangler which is nice but the speakers are ****ty at best. I am looking for any recomendation on what speakers to install that put out good sound without installing an amp. Any input will be helpful

Anything less than 4 ohms will work. The speakers are 5.25" rounds, though some have put 6.5" rounds in being creative.

Polk's marine grade speakers do well. I'm personally an infinity and JL person myself

I use low profile 6.25" speakers in my Jeeps sound bar and 5.25" in the dash. They won't sound real good with a high powered head unit.

You're right, I'm getting confused. I got my 8" Polk sub from amazon, and I think the speakers are pioneer.

I was in the same position as you 2 weeks ago. Bought the 5.25'' Kickers from Walmart and love em. The plastic covers are super cool lookin. I think they were $55. We tried some $30 ones too, and the kickers were noticeably better. A few days ago put kickers in the front too, and they sound waayyyy better. I think the sound difference was even more for the front speakers. Unfortunately, any speakers are super quiet in front! I have to fade it forward a little to be able to hear them.

I forgot to update this thread. Since I have a Pioneer head unit I went with Pioneer 6 1/2's in the soundbar and put 5 1/4's in the dash. All I can say is WOW! what a difference. I am sure I could do quite a bit to make it sou d even better but for my needs I am very happy just the way it is.

Thanks for everyones input!

I'm doing the same thing with my sound bar. Got Sony speakers (450watt) & 300watt in the dash. Having problem replacing the 1" & 1 1/4" tweeters on the sound bar though. Can't seem to find any.

If you ask me, I'd just leave the tweeters in for show, but disconnect them. If you get good enough speakers I personally don't think you'd need them.

That's what I'll probably end up doing
