Soundbar = No Rollbar Padding?

Can you keep your rollbar padding with an OEM soundbar or is it necessary to trim/remove it for install?

Mine came from the factory with it so off the top of my head i believe it is just cut short to make room for the sound bar so if you are adding one you might need to cut it back some.

Ok thanks. I didn't notice any holes in my padding but I'll look again.

Just looked at mine to confirm what it was like and yes on mine the padding ends before the sound bar and it might need to because from what i can tell without taking the sound bar off is that there is a grove on the roll bar that it fits into and then the sound bars padding raps around the roll bar so it is not exposed. So thats just how mine is so hope that helps

Well my problem is a bought a sound bar used but its from a YJ, not a TJ and it looks to me like its not a direct bolt-on. The brackets don't seem long enough on both sides for the soundbar to lay perfectly onto the roll bar.
